Mason Library Mission

Mason Library is committed to supporting the mission of Keene State College by providing collections, spaces, and services that support our academic programs and meet the needs of our diverse student and faculty community. 

Vision

Our vision is to be a thriving campus center with innovative spaces, high-quality service, and collections, teaching, outreach, and tutoring that support the intellectual and personal development of our community.

Mason Library is committed to:

• Access to information in multiple formats with a commitment to open access.
• Effective instruction and research support.
• Stewardship of cultural and college heritage collections and delivering primary sources curricula. 
• Collaboration with campus, USNH, regional, and global partners to support academic programs, contribute to Open Education initiatives, and enhance campus life. 
• Respect for academic and intellectual freedom and the privacy of our users. 

Statement on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

The Wallace E. Mason Library at Keene State College fully supports diversity, equity, and inclusion on campus and for all patrons we serve. We will exemplify this through the following actions: 

• Maintain safe, inclusive, and welcoming spaces
• Provide services and programs that promote and reflect diversity, equity, and inclusion
• Build Collections, create displays, and use social media to acknowledge and celebrate diversity
• Work with the office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion to provide regular DEI training for all library staff, including student staff
• Be a campus and community leader in the promotion, creation, and implementation of effective DEI strategies and goals.
